Why this shape

What this looks like when the system has to survive production

The model is a small part of an enterprise LLM product. The parts that take the time, and that reviewers ask about, are everything around it: who can ask what, how answers are logged, what a release has to pass before it goes live, what it costs per team, and what happens when the provider throttles you at 3 in the afternoon.

We build those parts as standard. Backend on FastAPI and PostgreSQL, SSO, multi-tenancy, a model gateway with routing and spend caps, a versioned prompt registry with evaluation gates in CI, Langfuse tracing, and dashboards for quality, latency and cost. 1 client platform grew from 1 scoped task to 3,250 users on this shape.

What you get

Delivered as a working production system, in your cloud account

Product backend

FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, SSO, multi-tenancy, usage metering and rate limits, with a React front end where you need one.

Model gateway

Routing between providers by cost and latency, semantic caching, spend caps per feature, automatic failover.

Prompt and model registry

Versioned prompts and models with diff, review and rollback, and evaluation gates in CI that block a quality drop.

Guardrails

PII redaction, policy checks and confidence gates on every output, configured per use case.

Observability

Every call traced in Langfuse or LangSmith, with quality, latency and cost per team on 1 dashboard.

Your cloud account

Deployed with Terraform into AWS, GCP or Azure under your billing, with a runbook and a rollback path.

Architecture

The control plane around the product

Every prompt and model version lives in a registry. CI runs the evaluation set and blocks anything below threshold. Candidates run in shadow before promotion. Monitoring feeds drift and cost alerts.

When this is the wrong tool

If 1 team needs an internal assistant over a document set, a focused RAG build at a fraction of the cost is the right first step. The platform layers can be added once usage justifies them.

Knowledge search that handles multi-document reasoning at scale

1. Problem. Critical institutional knowledge was scattered across hundreds of documents and disconnected systems. A single-vector-search setup had already failed. The organization needed multi-document, multi-hop reasoning that held up under real query volume.

2. Solution. Multi-agent reasoning with a Neo4j knowledge graph for complex cross-document queries. RAG Fusion lifted precision well above single-retrieval approaches. Role-based access with a complete audit trail across every department, handling 8,000 queries per day at launch.

One governance layer for 5 production models in a regulated FinTech

1. Problem. 5 AI models were running in production with no shared visibility, no drift detection and no governance. Model behavior was tracked by hand in spreadsheets. In a regulated financial environment, that is an audit failure waiting to happen.

2. Solution. A single LLMOps control plane across all 5 models: scheduled automated evaluations, statistical drift detection against rolling baselines, shadow deployment and A/B testing before any version reaches live traffic, and a full model registry with SOC 2 compliant lineage and approval workflows.

Regulated EnterpriseEU

A private LLM deployment where no request ever leaves the customer environment

1. Problem. A regulated enterprise wanted a modern language model over its internal documents, under a contractual ban on sending that content to any third-party processor. Even zero-retention API terms did not clear the bar: nothing could leave the environment at all.

2. Solution. A fully private deployment inside the customer VPC: open-weight models on client-owned GPU nodes, self-hosted vector store, orchestration and observability, with egress to external model APIs blocked at the network layer. The audit answer to "where did this data go" is the same as "where does it live".

enterprise LLM development: what buyers ask first

Full LLM products with backend, governance and deployment run $15,000 to $60,000 or more over 8 to 16 weeks, depending on integrations, compliance scope and whether we operate it afterwards.
