Why this shape

What this looks like when the system has to survive production

Callers hang up on IVR menus and on silence. A voice agent has about 1 second to respond before the call feels broken, and it has to do that while retrieving the right answer, checking what it is allowed to resolve, and writing to the CRM. Most voice demos ignore 2 of those 3 constraints.

We build on LiveKit or Twilio with streaming STT, a LangGraph agent with knowledge-base RAG, OpenAI Realtime or ElevenLabs for speech, and a policy layer that routes anything needing judgment to a person with the full context already on screen. The delivered system handles 80% or more of a tier-1 queue with 45% lower handle time, measured on the client’s live production queue.

What you get

Delivered as a working production system, in your cloud account

Telephony integration

SIP or Twilio inbound and outbound, with barge-in handling, call recording with consent and transcripts for QA.

Streaming speech

Deepgram or OpenAI Realtime for recognition, ElevenLabs or native speech for output, tuned for a sub-second loop.

Grounded answers

Retrieval over your knowledge base with citations in the transcript, so QA can check every answer.

Resolution policy

A confidence threshold and an allowed-action list that decide what the agent closes alone and what goes to a person.

Warm transfer

Handoff to a human with the transcript and the caller’s context already on screen, never a cold restart.

Per-call monitoring

Latency, resolution rate, transfer rate and sentiment tracked per call, with alerts on regressions.

Architecture

The voice loop we ship

Inbound audio streams to speech recognition. The agent retrieves grounded answers and checks the resolution policy. Speech returns under 1 second; low confidence triggers a warm transfer with the transcript.

When this is the wrong tool

If your call volume is low and the questions vary widely, a good text assistant for agents beats a voice agent on cost. Voice earns its build cost on a repetitive tier-1 queue with peaks that staffing cannot follow.

A voice agent that handles most of the tier-1 queue without a human

1. Problem. A support organisation carried a heavy tier-1 queue of repetitive, well-understood questions. Hold times drove most of the dissatisfaction, the queue peaked exactly when staffing was hardest, and conventional IVR menus just pushed callers to press 0.

2. Solution. A real-time voice layer on GCP: streaming speech recognition, retrieval grounded in the client's knowledge base, and a policy layer deciding what the agent may resolve alone. The loop stays under 1 second at the caller's ear; low confidence or asking for a person triggers a warm transfer with the transcript.

Support that handled growing volume with flat headcount

1. Problem. A fast-scaling US e-commerce brand had support infrastructure buckling under volume. Response times were slipping, agents were overwhelmed, and brand content across 5 social platforms was inconsistent. Hiring more people was the expensive fix.

2. Solution. An autonomous support platform across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, chat and email. Claude handles incoming queries with knowledge-grounded reasoning, processing refunds, routing tickets and resolving most issues without escalation. A sentiment layer escalates only what needs human judgment.

An autonomous revenue layer that closed the gaps no rep could watch

1. Problem. 14 disconnected sales tools, no consistent lead qualification and shaky CRM data. Revenue was slipping through gaps that no single person could track across multiple regions at once.

2. Solution. A round-the-clock revenue layer on n8n and LangGraph. Real-time lead qualification, automatic CRM enrichment, personalized outreach across email and LinkedIn, predictive deal health scoring, and live pipeline reports delivered to leadership with no sales ops in the loop.
